Unusual family vacations

The day before your hike, you will arrive at the donkey hamlet of Monedies (Les Brefinies) where we will welcome you in the afternoon.

After a short presentation of the place, you will take the time to rest from your trip and we will meet again for a small “donkey briefing” before the aperitif and the evening meal.

Your accommodation is a
yurt
It is entirely insulated from floor to ceiling, the floor is made of solid oak and the doors and windows are made of chestnut with double glazing, so it is very bright and offers a breathtaking view of the valley. It is comparable to a “guest room” and can be used all year round.

The bedding is composed of a double bed, two bunk beds (four single beds) with box spring, quality mattress, comforters, sheets and towels.

At the edge of the area there is a table with benches and a barbecue where you can grill and have an aperitif while the children play with the donkeys with the games we provide. You will be able to enjoy the calm and the surrounding nature…

We propose to sleep on half board or full board (picnic basket for lunch).

No hotel service at the yurt: we provide all your meals. For dinner, for example: salad, melon, barbecue, aligot, dessert, wine…. For your self-service breakfast: coffee, tea, chocolate milk, cereal, fruit juice, bread, jam… For your picnic basket: bread, butter, cheese, ham, tomato, fruit, cookie…

A few steps away, the sanitary facilities and the kitchen will be entirely dedicated to you during your stay, so you will feel at home.

Some of our tours will lead you to stop at the Ermitage du Fraysse, whose Occitan name means “the ash tree”.Away from any civilization, your camp in the middle of nature awaits you for a night in a tepee set up in a green and wild meadow, crossed by the Monédiès stream where your children will enjoy splashing around.Before nightfall, you will have all the time in the forest to collect wood so that once the night falls you can light a campfire around which you will meet for an unforgettable evening.

At the Tipi you will find calm, serenity, intimacy, and complicity in family.

This little corner of paradise will be entirely dedicated to you during your visit.

Games for the children and everything you need to prepare your evening meals (barbecue, salad…) your breakfast and your picnic basket for the next day will be waiting for you on your arrival.

Le Fraysse is also known for its peppermint, which has always grown here, and which is harvested in May, June, July and August, and which – like all our pastures and meadows – is certified Organic Agriculture by EcoCert. Leave with a small bunch that, once dried, will turn into a tea that will remind you of your vacations… ! (Beware, some wild plants may be naturally poisonous; eat only if you are sure you recognize them).

While walking on our Nature tour, you will have the pleasure of sleeping in a tent without the inconvenience, because at each stage you will find your camp ready for the night (tent, mattress, blanket, sheets), in camping or bivouac depending on the place.

Our family tents sleep six to ten, with a large living area for your luggage, and are equipped with mattresses.

You will find restaurants, snack bars and grocery stores on the spot to satisfy your needs. There are many possibilities for refreshments unless you choose one of our “turnkey” or “tailor-made” formulas with half or full board.

Our tents are set up in the middle of nature, either on bivouac areas near rivers, or in small family campsites, some of which are equipped with a swimming pool.

ORGANIZED HIKING : Comfort tour – “All inclusive tour

We organize your entire stay with half board or full board (picnic basket for lunch). You pay the totality of the service to the Ânes de Monédiès who pay for all the services you will benefit from. Leave with peace of mind, we take care of everything.
Depending on the stage, you will sleep in an unusual accommodation such as a yurt, a tent or a tepee, a family hotel, a bed and breakfast or a gîte, Conques Abbey…
The prices are given as an indication and do not include drinks outside the menu. (Indicative rates on the last page of the description of the tours)

ORGANIZED HIKE : Nature trail – “Key in hand” hike

You will have the pleasure of sleeping in a tent without the inconvenience, because at each stage you will find your camp ready for the night (tent, mattress, blanket, sheets), in camping or bivouac depending on the place.
You pay the totality of the service to the Ânes de Monédiès who pay for all the services you will benefit from. So you don’t have to worry about anything, we take care of everything.

Our family tents, which sleep six to ten, have a large living area for your luggage and are equipped with mattresses.
On some tours, you will have the possibility to live the experience of sleeping in our Tipi located in a magnificent site away from any civilization or in our contemporary Yurt at the Donkey Hamlet of Monédiès.
