Discover the wild environment of our region by passing from the Lot valley to the Truyère valley to the plateaus dominating the two valleys. You will go from the freshness of the water where parents and children can bathe, to the calm of the forests to finish by surprising panoramas on the plateaus of Golinhac and Sénergues.

DAY 1 - 12 km
Les Bréfinies ⤍ Grand Vabre
From the hamlet of Bréfinies, follow the paths once used by the donkeys. Real communication routes between isolated farms, these trails invite you to dive into history and bring you to the heart of nature for a stay of discovery and rejuvenation.
On your way, you will find the first historical monument of your stay: the 1200 year old Monedies Chapel.
At the end of the day, you will reach Grand-Vabre, place of your first stage. If you have chosen the "Comfort" package you will spend the night in a hotel in the village. If you have chosen the "nature" formula, you will sleep in large family tents on a bivouac area on the banks of the Dourdou river which crosses the village of Grand-Vabre.
DAY 2 - 12,5 km
Grand Vabre ⤍ Vieillevie
At the border of the departments of Aveyron, Lot and Cantal, stands Grand-Vabre. Upstream, some hamlets will allow you to admire the view on the whole commune. Renowned as a place of retreat and meditation by Dadon - the hermit who founded the monastery of Conques - this village is a true place of tranquility.
From Grand-Vabre, you will arrive at Vieillevie, a charming village where a horse and anise fair was once held.
With the "nature" formula, you will spend the night on the bivouac area a few meters from the river Lot, a moment of relaxation guaranteed. With the "comfort" accommodation formula, you can stay at the Hôtel de la Terrasse hotel-restaurant with swimming pool.
DAY 3 - 15 km
Vieillevie ⤍ Espeyrac
15 km from Conques and Entraygues, the castle of Vieillevie is an 11th century fortress with defense passageways, underground passages, keep and chimneys of the 13th century. A real leap in time! Nearby, on the left bank, the hamlet of Montarnal is also home to a fortress and a 13th century keep.
You will be accommodated at the Domaine de Sénos for those who have chosen the "comfort" option and at the communal gîte for those who have chosen the "nature" option.
DAY 4 - 14 km
Espeyrac ⤍ Conques
Built in an amphitheater, the village of Espeyrac has beautiful stairways and steep streets. On a rocky promontory, facing the valley, the village is surrounded by forests and chestnut groves.
After a charming stop in Espeyrac, continue your escapade through time by taking the direction of Conques.
This last day's ride with your donkey will take you to Conques, also known as "The Medieval" .... This small village crossed by the Way of St Jacques de Compostelle which sees passing every year pilgrims of the whole world remained as frozen in time. A true return to the past!
We will pick you up in the heart of this mythical place at the end of your journey to drive you and your donkey back to Les Bréfinies.
