DAY 1 - 12 km
Les Bréfinies ⤍ Grand Vabre

We will welcome you at our Monédiès Donkey Farm in the hamlet of Bréfinies, for the beginning of your 7-day hike with one of our pack donkeys. Advice and explanations will allow you to better know our donkeys of the Pyrenees, and to leave serenely in this family adventure on the paths of the Aveyron.
The first stage of your itinerary will take you through the plateau of Almont-Les-Junies, a vast green expanse, from where you can admire an exceptional panorama of the Massif Central: the Monts du Cantal and the Plateau de l'Aubrac.
A path through beautiful chestnut groves will take you to the Pre-Romanesque Chapel of Monédiès, a 1,200 year old historical monument, beautifully restored in 2003, located in the heart of nowhere. Your picnic here will give you the feeling of being back in the Middle Ages.
At the end of this first day of hiking, you will reach the town of Grand Vabre where you will stop.

DAY 2 - 12,5 km
Grand Vabre ⤍ Vieillevie

For this second day of hiking, discover Grand Vabre: a small picturesque village typical of the Rouergue, you will enjoy strolling through its narrow streets with beautiful stones.
Your itinerary in this hilly green area will lead you to Vieillevie where you will spend the night.

DAY 3 - 10,5 Km
Vieillevie ⤍ Le Fel

Vieillevie is a small village full of charm, which used to be a strong place in the life of the canton: the famous donkey and horse fairs were held there! You will find there nice buildings, made of beautiful stones: a remarkable castle of the XVth century, a small Romanesque church.
Your itinerary to Le Fel will allow you to admire the surroundings of Vieillevie: Montarnal built on its ancient fortress of which a decapitated round tower remains, and the church of Notre-Dame-d'Aynes of neo-gothic style.

DAY 4 - 15 Km
Le Fel ⤍ Entraygues

Take the time to discover the small village of Le Fel before going hiking with your donkey, you will see that this village both picturesque and atypical has many surprises in store for you!
Nestled on a ridge, overlooking the Lot Valley, Le Fel will seduce you with its vineyards and its quality wines, especially the white grape varieties of Camin d'Olt, which go well with the cabécou du Fel, goat cheese and specialty of the village.
To reach Entraygues, the next stage of your stay, you will follow the Lot and its winding valley on shady forest paths, ideal in the middle of summer.

DAY 5 - 10 Km
Entraygues ⤍ Golinhac

A more urban stage in Entraygues, "between the waters" as its name indicates in Occitan, at the confluence of the Lot and the Truyère, a town with a strong medieval heritage that you will enjoy visiting.
The children will feel like knights of the Middle Ages on their faithful steed: narrow streets with a medieval character, castle and ramparts, gothic bridge classified as a historical monument, half-timbered houses and corbelling ... Here is the decor to let their imagination run free!
Your hike of the day will bring you back to a wild and green nature towards Golinhac, the "Colline du Regard".

DAY 6 - 11 Km
Golinhac ⤍ Sénergues

From Golinhac, you will walk on the mythical Way of Saint James, more precisely on the way of Puy en Velay (Via Podiensis).
Golinhac is an integral part of the places of pilgrimage which are spread out on the Way of Compostelle. In the village you will find a cross made by pilgrims in the 15th century representing three shells and a pilgrim holding his stick. And also the church of Saint Martin, preserving the Romanesque foundations of an 11th century priory which depended on the abbey of Conques
The itinerary of the day will make you pass by the Puech de Regault which offers superb points of view on the valley of Entraygues, the Viadène, the mounts of Aubrac and Auvergne.

DAY 7 - 11Km
Sénergues ⤍ Conques

The village of Sénergues has been crossed since the 11th century by the pilgrims of Saint Jacques de Compostelle, who left from Le Puy en Velay, to reach Conques.
Sénergues also has a church dedicated to Saint Martin, as well as a castle built at the end of the 16th century. It is a vast seigneurial residence with trefoil windows.
Like the pilgrims, your hike with your donkeys will lead you to Conques, a superb medieval village, nestled on the side of a wooded hill, with roofs of slate, dominating the three towers of the Sainte Foy basilica.
Recognized as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France", Conques collects titles of nobility. The abbey of this "Grand Site de Midi-Pyrénées" is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Your family stay will end in Conques, where we will pick you up.
