DAY 1 - 12 km
Les Bréfinies ⤍ Grand Vabre
The hike starts from our farm in the hamlet of Bréfinies in a green setting. Upstream, the plateau of Almont-les-Junies offers you your first view of the Monts du Cantal and the Aubrac plateau.
On your way, the chapel of Monedies is the beginning of your journey in time. A 1200 year old historical monument in the middle of nature.

DAY 2 - 12,5 km
Grand Vabre ⤍ Vieillevie
Welcome to Grand-Vabre, the back country of Conques. In a green and hilly landscape, this village will seduce you with its tranquility and beauty. It is said that the hermit Dadon, at the origin of the Monastery of Conques, chose it as a place of retreat and meditation.
After this solemn escapade, continue your way in the direction of Vieillevie, a village crossed by the river Lot at the limit of the departments of Lot, Aveyron and Cantal.
DAY 3 - 15 km
Vieillevie ⤍ Espeyrac
The village of Vieillevie lies at the foot of this huge 15th century castle. The castle is characterized by its fortress whose origins date back to the year 1000. The elements that make up the castle come from different centuries making this monument an architectural jewel of the medieval period.
DAY 4 - 14 km
Espeyrac ⤍ Conques
Espeyrac is an essential stop on the route of Compostela (GR65) and is characterized by its construction. Built in amphitheater, you will be able to stroll through its paved lanes, its granite buildings without forgetting the roofs in "lauzes", characteristic of the Aveyron. The village welcomes you in a green setting where three streams, the three Dazes, come together at its feet. Continue on your way to Conques, a major stop on the Compostela Way!
Since 1998, the abbey of Conques and the bridge over the Dourdou river called "pont des pèlerins" or "pont Romain" are registered on the list of the world heritage of the UNESCO under the title of the roads of Compostelle in France. In Conques, discover the Saint Foy basilica and its cloister. At the back, a garden will allow you to take a quiet break. DAY 5 - 12,5 km
Conques ⤍ Le Fraysse
A real natural setting crossed by a small stream, the Fraysse welcomes you for an unusual night in a tepee in the heart of the forest. Young and old will enjoy this family moment around a campfire. Everything is provided on site: games for the children and what you need to prepare your evening meals, breakfast and picnic for the next day. A real sanctuary of peppermint, don't hesitate to make yourself a bouquet that will allow you to immerse yourself in this stay when you sip your herbal tea once back home.
DAY 6 - 10,5 km
Le Fraysse ⤍ Refined
It's time to leave your camp to go to the typical small farm of Embrousse through the Chemin des Bagnards. Then follow forest paths before falling back on the famous GR 65. Take the opportunity to admire the exceptional panorama of the Massif Central before continuing to Les Bréfinies.
