DAY 1 - 12 km
Les Bréfinies ⤍ Conques
The departure is from our farm, in the hamlet of Bréfinies, located on the Way of St Jacques (GR65). Small green village and characteristic of the architectural heritage of the region, plunge into the atmosphere of Aveyron from your first steps. Green pastures, rivers, houses with slate roofs are your first discovery.
The crossing of the plateau of Almont-les-Junies, on the heights of the village, offers you unexpected panoramas on the Monts du Cantal and the Aubrac plateau where hilly landscapes and pastures extend as far as the eye can see.
Chestnut groves and small steep paths follow, gradually depicting the medieval atmosphere of Conques. Then cross the ancient bridge of the Pilgrims, also called Roman bridge to join Conques by taking the street Charlemagne on the GR 65.
As one of the most beautiful villages in France, Conques will transport you to another era where churches, half-timbered facades, stone streets, abbey, corbelled houses, castle... shape this chivalrous universe.
DAY 2 - 10,5 km
